Gerald Wiens is a nature and wildlife photographer, born and raised in Kansas. He has a Master's Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology and has been photographing nature and wildlife in the midwest for over 20 years.

Over 1,000 of his images have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including National Wildlife Federation publications, KANSAS! magazine and calendar, "In Your Big Back Yard", "Natural Kansas", "Birds In Kansas", "Kansas On My Mind", and "A Field Guide To Prairie Raptors". He co-authored "Kansas Wildlife", has been a winner in the National Wildlife Federation photo contest and a 1st place winner in the mammals category in the Sports Afield photo contest. Although most of his photos are taken in the midwest, he has photographed in Florida, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming.
